We ended up finding 3 very interesting places. The first was an old home that looked like someone had started to restore it and the somewhere along the way either ran out of money or energy. The house looked like it had several additions and none were very recent. A majority of the siding had already been removed and it looked like an skeleton standing out in the field all by itself.

This picture was taken in the attic - this is pretty much how it came out of the camera - I did kick up the saturation level a tad - but that was about it.

After we spent a good couple of hours looking at the house - we found - what might have been the family cemetery behind the house. It looked like one of the tombstones had been knocked over. We were still able to read who was buried in this area.

All in all - it was a pretty good day - I'll be going back.

riley and me

riley and me
Originally uploaded by rbyers_nc
Went and saw the movie "Marley and Me"... if you've ever lost a dog - this movie will take you right back to that point in time.

I've decided to start a 365 project - albeit a "twisted 365" - this is my first post. It was good to meet some of new members and it's always good to see the rest of the group.

Here's a shot that I took - Joei Reed -

Latest Strobist

So, I've been trying to get better using my strobe lights and I belong to a couple of flickr strobe groups. One is a local one that I started with a few other people. The idea behind it was - give ourself assignments each week using our off camera flash.

It's been a challenge at times - but it's been a real learning experience.

Here's the shot for this week - they assignment was to use your off camera flash in your bathroom - in this shot I just used my IR transmitter and placed my 430ex in the bottom of the tub.

I kind a like the way it turned out.

Please feel free to leave comments ---

Merry Christmas 2007

Merry Christmas
